Additional Information on Services Provided by the Panorama Benevolent Fund

Financial Assistance: How do I get Financial Assistance Services?

A resident may confidentially apply for financial assistance if he/she meets the Guidelines for Eligibility. General guidelines include:

  • The applicant must be a Panorama independent living resident for a minimum of 36 continuous months.
  • The applicant must meet asset limitation criteria and establish the inability to meet their ongoing financial needs. If applicant needs or anticipates the need for financial assistance, they should contact their Social Services Advisor at x 7557, for further information. Residents may self-refer to the Benevolent Fund Office.
  • Expenses that are necessary to maintain health and well-being under current standards of independent living at Panorama are considered.
  • All financial assets and regular income must be considered.

The Benevolent Fund Financial Assistance Chair will interview the resident, review their financial situation, determine eligibility and the financial support needed. The resident is assigned a Financial Assistant, who will work with the resident to evaluate their ongoing needs and be their primary contact.

Independent Living Social Services:

At no cost to the residents, the Fund supports Social Service Advisors who assist residents in various aspects of their lives while navigating Panorama’s continuum of care. The salaries and benefits of these advisers are funded by the Benevolent Fund and managed by Panorama Corporation’s Independent Living Services.

  • Social Service Advisors can meet with Residents individually and in conference with partners, family, or care team.
  • They assist new residents in developing aging in place goals such as: Power of Attorney and Health Care Directives, care coordination for hospital admissions, serious medical issues or rehabilitation, and consultations about screening for Assisted Living and/or Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
  • They provide Support groups that include Caring for the Caregiver, Memory Café, Low Vision, Living with Parkinson’s, and Living with Cancer.

Transition Moving Services:

This service assists residents and families of residents in disposing of belongings that are no longer wanted. Once a residence has been vacated the remaining items will be removed, and usable items are moved to Stiles-Beach Barn or Encore for sale.
