Sources of Funding for the Panorama Benevolent Fund

Financial backing for the Benevolent Fund comes from its partnership with the Panorama Corporation, the Annual Fund Drive, Annual Auction, ongoing sales at the Stiles-Beach Barn Thrift Shop, Encore Furniture & Books and Online sales, as well as individual contributions, remembrances, recognition, and other charitable donations.

The Benevolent Fund provides a service to residents by accepting their donations of household goods, furniture, and books. These donations are then sorted according to categories and distributed to the best fitting sales outlets. Some items are further donated to local charities when appropriate.

       •  Annual Fund Drive – Annual appeal to Panorama residents for donations to the Fund.

       •  Annual Auction – Annual auction of items donated by residents and local merchants.  Residents make donations of items ranging from vases to vacations.  Bidding is open to Panorama residents and the community.

       •  Retail Sales:
                  •  Household items are sold through the Stiles-Beach Barn Thrift Shop.
                  •  Furniture and books are sold through Encore Furniture and Books.
                  •  Selected items are sold through the Facebook Marketplace.

       •  Additional Donations – Throughout the year we receive donations from residents, and others, in memory of or honoring a friend or relative.

       •  Donations through Businesses – Some businesses provide a donation to a charitable organization when customers make a purchase. The Benevolent Fund can be named as the recipient of the donations. Participating organizations are:
             •  Fred Meyer – Fred Meyer Community Rewards
              •  CARS – Vehicle Donations
