Sources of Funds for the Panorama Benevolent Fund

Financial backing for the Benevolent Fund comes from its partnership with the Panorama Corporation, the Annual Fund Drive, periodic auctions, ongoing sales at the Stiles-Beach Barn and Encore Furniture & Books, online sales, individual contributions, remembrances, recognition, and other charitable donations.

The Benevolent Fund provides a service to residents by accepting their donations of household goods, furniture, and books and other no longer needed items. These donations are then sorted according to categories best fitting the various sales outlets.  Some items are further donated to local charities when appropriate.

       •  Retail Sales –

                  •  Household items are sold through the Stiles-Beach Barn.

                  •  Furniture and books are sold through Encore.

                  •  Selected items are sold through the Facebook Marketplace.

       •  Annual Auction – The Fund also has an annual auction of items donated by residents and local merchants.

       •  Annual Fund Drive – Annually we appeal to Panorama residents for donations to the Fund.

       •  Additional Donations – Throughout the year we receive donations from residents and others, primarily in memory of or honoring a friend or relative.

       •  Donations through Businesses – Some businesses provide a donation to a charitable organization when customers make a purchase. The Benevolent Fund can be named as the recipient of the donations. Participating organizations are:

              •  Amazon – Amazon Smile
